Do you love mothering? I do. But, sometimes I forget and start getting frustrated with my children. It is so easy to get frustrated! I am very excited about the Mondays on Mothering Meme over at Bow of Bronze. For our family, Mondays are all about getting our school work done fast, so we can head to the library. Monday is library day! I love taking my children to the library; it is one of my favorite things to do as a Mom. That could be because this Mom loves books! The library is fun for our family, as we all love books — even the littlest guy. We also enjoy checking out educational videos to watch on our tiny dvd player; and checking out audiobooks to enjoy in the car. If you haven’t been to the library with your children, I encourage you to check it out. Story time is a favorite day for our younger crew; and big kids are proud to have their own library card and check out their own books! Library day is a fun family outing…

Welcome to Mondays on Mothering! I love mothering, don’t you? It’s just that sometimes its really hard to keep perspective! So, I decided to start including a regular feature on my other blog called Mondays on Mothering. This meme’ is for all those who love Mothering and want to encourage others to keep on. It is hard sometimes to love our job isn’t it? Dishes need washed, laundry needs folded, bottoms need wiped and pretty soon our attitudes are really bad. When you are down, focus on the things you love about mothering and that will keep you from focusing on the things you don’t enjoy! This weekend, my oldest daughter got to help us paint our dining area. It was very fun to watch her Dad teaching her how to properly fill a paint brush and paint. She worked diligently to paint all the corners she could reach; while I painted the woodwork trim and Dad painted the ceiling. Way to go sweetie! As a mother, I love seeing my children grow in diligence and responsibility. When they are struggling to do what is right; I get frustrated with the process. But, the times when I see them working hard and happily — that is my reward. This week I am going to try to focus on the positive growth!
